🌔 MOONWELL | THE LEADING LENDING AND BORROWING APP ON BASE
Before we get started, this is never a recommendation or endorsement to buy any token(s) mentioned, and here’s a few risks to consider:
Smart contract risk in any underlying protocols
Pool size and liquidity depth
Front-end spoof attack on an app frontend
An economic design exploit
Colluding signers on any multisig
Systemic risk across DeFi, including stablecoin depegs

OK, we have to include Neutral Trade again from last week because these yields have stayed sky high! Yields on their JLP USDC strategy were at 71.58% last week and this week they’re at 96.02% (wow).
How is this possible you ask?
Lastly, it's important to note that these vaults are capitalizing on the current frothy market conditions. Additionally, there is a 24-hour withdrawal waiting period for accessing your funds should you want to pull out.
Bonus: I feel like what the chads at f(x) Protocol are doing sometimes goes under the radar, but their Earn page consistently has some of the highest stable yields in DeFi and deserve the spotlight here. Check out some of the yields on their flagship pools:
Stable single asset yields ranging from 22.31 % to 52.92%
Stable single asset yields ranging from 17.58% to 37.41%
ETH/BTC Yield
Here’s links to the top 5 yielding ETH/BTC pools for the past 7 days according to Vaults.fyi:
28.36% - WETH-2 yVault
8.27% - mevETH
6.36% - Moonwell Flagship ETH
5.99% - Pyth ETH
6.03% - Re7 WETH
Full list below:
Bonus: Once again, Neutral Trade has some of the highest yields in all of DeFi on majors right now. However, these pools are new and < $1M in TVL:
Pendle
Pendle - The easiest way to get started with Pendle is go to their markets page and filter by BTC, ETH, Stables, Points or RWAs. There’s something for almost everyone here. It’s truly becoming the front page of DeFi yield.
The big Pendle news this week is they launched on Base. As usual the Pendle Chads managed to time this perfectly as Base is seeing record growth right now.
Here’s the first two pools live as of today on Pendle’s Base deployment:
7.427% - LBTC
7.096% - cbETH

Leverage Looping Yields
Looping can be a very effective leverage strategy to earn more yield, but one must be cautious to monitor borrowing rates, and liquidations which are a necessary cost to generate such leveraged yields (we don’t recommend max leverage). It’s also important to know if you’re going after points or real yield when looping.
We're back this week with fresh Contango looping strategies that just went live. This strategy utilizes Ethena, Pendle and Morpho under the hood:
This position will be available until PT expiry on December 25, 2024
Check out this tweet below for the details:
You’ve asked for it. Now you go trade it ok? (Kidding, NFA)
PTsUSDe is now loopable via @MorphoLabs with different maturities and quote assets:
